The Music of Life
Music, like many other facets of life on earth, is representative of both good and evil. In this discussion, I choose to think of the ultimate
forms of music as that which we might expect to experience in heaven. Sometimes, it may be that the music itself, as written, is wonderful, but the
arrangement, or the manner in which it is played or sung, is not very good. The reverse may also be true.
I like a lot of different types of music, from Al Caiola to Werner Muller, from Al Martino to Vera Lynn. My music library began with vinyl LPs, and
now includes hundreds of CDs (as well as some digital versions) from over 260 artists, and it's still growing. My collection includes such well known voices
as Karen Carpenter and Joni James, and some less well known - but beautiful - voices like Katherine Jenkins, Jane Froman, and Cristy Lane.
My point here is that the voice, or the instrument, can make beautiful sounds, but like Linda Ronstadt, the same voice can bring forth good music and lousy
music. Nelson Riddle, the famous orchestra leader, helped Linda Ronstadt to sing some beautiful music. But she also recorded some that was of far less
quality, at least in the value sense of achieving heavenly sounds.
An orchestra, or an organ, a trumpet, or a piano, can bring forth exquisite music or a cacophony of noise. It all depends on the combination of ingredients - music, conductor,
arranger, musician(s) and singer(s).
In a similar manner, as individuals we make the music of our lives in the choices that we make, the actions we take, the thoughts we think and the attitudes we
adopt. We can choose to associate with good people who will uplift our spirits and our thoughts. We can choose to set goals that will help us draw closer to God
and help us to achieve our potential. We can choose to listen to uplifting music, read the scriptures and other good books, engage in appropriate exercise, get
adequate rest, and eat healthy foods...
In other words we can help ourselves by doing all we can to become like our Heavenly Father. ... Or we can let ourselves go to pot.
What's your choice?
No Christian or Jew, and especially no member of the LDS Church (including Harry Reid) can justify any support for the liberal democrat communist platform.
I state that flatly because it consists of nothing but LIES and deceit, deception and distortion, and programs that embody anti-church, anti-American,
anti-family, and anti-Judeo-Christian principles.
I guarantee that God and Jesus are NOT liberals!
Let's take America back from Satan's boys NOW!
